International is possibly one of the largest and oldest Star
Trek fan associations in the world, and Space Station Centaur
is a chapter within Region 20, which covers the UK and Ireland. There
are a number of benefits to SFI membership, the biggest of which is
probably access to the STARFLEET Academy. It costs
about £4.00 a year payable to SFI (not Centaur), but you do not have to be
a member of SFI to be a crewmember of Centaur (unless you wish to hold
an officer rank or be part of the Senior Team).
Starfleet Sol Sector
contrast to SFI, Sol Sector is one of the newest Star Trek fan
associations but also one of the most promising. Membership of Sol
Sector is completely free of charge and thus, all Centaur members are
members of Sol Sector.
