A very warm welcome to Space Station Centaur.

SPACE STATION CENTAUR is nominally based in Shropshire but is a correspondence chapter with members from all over the UK. The one thing we all have in common is a love of science fiction, particularly Star Trek. We are part of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek  Fan Association, Inc. (SFI for short), and Starfleet Sol Sector.

What is a correspondence chapter?

It simply means that we meet predominantly via the Internet. Facebook is our favoured option, but that's not our only method of getting together. We try to meet approximately four times a year, the meeting moving around the UK to try to ensure that everyone has a chance to attend a meeting and meet their fellow crewmembers. The meeting usually involves an overnight stay and includes a meal in a great local pub on the Friday evening followed by a visit to a local attraction on the Saturday. This could be almost anything from a visit to a historical site or zoo to a great shopping experience.

Being affiliated with STARFLEET International and Starfleet Sol Sector means that we have something for everyone. Every member is part of Sol Sector and that is completely free of charge. Membership of STARFLEET International is an optional extra that gives you access to the STARFLEET Academy and a few other perks. Membership of STARFLEET International costs about 3.00 a year payable to them (not Centaur). More details about that can be found on our JOIN US page.
